Add into that the 2 day stop over in Venice. A city that so many people wish to visit before it is swallowed back by the encroaching sea. Then we continue south to Croatia. Even if we do say it ourselves, This is a once on a lifetime trip that should be on everyone’s bucket list. Day 1. 14/09/2026Calais-Longwy(France)250Miles.
Our epic overlanding trip will start on the 14th September 2026 when we meet around 9am Folkestone in Kent. We will board the Eurotunnel @ 10.20 for our 35 minute crossing to Calais France. We will regroup in Calais before our road trip really starts, we will be are heading up past Dunkirk then on through Belgium and into Luxembourg before reaching our first nights stop @B&B Hotel Longwy Porte Du Luxembourg which is just over the boarder and back into France.
Day 2 15/09/2026 Longwy-Zurich(Switzerland)260Miles.
After breakfast at the hotel we will aim to depart by around 9am and start to continue to head South towards Zurich. A gentle days driving allowing time for some photo stops and a lunch beak along the way. We will arrive in Zurich and then settle in for the evening at the hotel Ibis Zurich . And get the chance for a chat and a couple of beers or whatever is your choice, and the chance to get to know everyone.
Day 3 16/09/2026 Zurich-Bolzano (Italy) 180 Miles.
Again after our breakfast we will continue our journey towards Italy, Today we get the opportunity to drive the amazing Stelvio Pass one of Europe’s must drive passes. After the excitement of Stelvio we then head on down for our over night stop in Bolzano @ B&B Bolzano
Day 4 17/09/2026 Bolzano-Venice (Italy) 190 Miles.
After a good nights rest and our breakfast we will aim as always to depart the hotel by 9am and head down to one of Europe’s most unique cities Venice. A stunning drive South down to the unique city of Venice. We will check into the Palazzo Marcello Hotel Al Sole. This will be our home for two nights, as tomorrow is a rest day to spend how you wish.
Day 5 18/09/2026 Venice-Rest Day 0 Miles.
Today is a well earned rest day which we you can enjoy at your leisure in Venice, Italy, is a mesmerizing city built on a network of canals and bridges. Renowned for its picturesque gondola rides, Venice boasts stunning landmarks like St. Mark’s Basilica and the Rialto Bridge. The city’s rich history, unique architecture, and vibrant culture create an unforgettable experience. Venice’s charm lies in its blend of ancient traditions and modern vibrancy, captivating all who visit. Then we will stop over night at yesterdays hotel.
Day 6 19/09/2026 Venice-Rejeka (Croatia) 150 Miles.
Same format as previous day we will be looking to depart at around 9am after having our breakfast. We are now on our way to Croatia. To our stop in Rijeka, Croatia’s third-largest city, is a coastal gem perched along the Adriatic Sea. Known for its bustling port and historical significance, Rijeka boasts stunning architecture, vibrant cultural festivals like the Rijeka Carnival, and a rich maritime heritage. The city harmoniously blends modern urban life with scenic coastal beauty, offering visitors a dynamic experience. Whether you’re exploring its charming old town, enjoying local cuisine, or soaking in the seaside ambiance,
Rijeka promises an unforgettable adventure. Our hotel for the next two nights is the Hotel Continental.
Day 7 20/09/2026 Rejka-Free Day 0 Miles.
Today is a rest day for you to spend exploring Rejka an area that offers a myriad of activities: explore Trsat Castle for historic views, wander the vibrant Korzo promenade, visit the unique Peek & Poke Computer Museum, and delve into the city’s maritime history at the Maritime and History Museum. Don’t miss the stunning Rijeka Cathedral and the lively Rijeka Carnival. Enjoy coastal walks and local cuisine along the waterfront. We will be stopping back at the Hotel Continental.
Day 8 21/09/2026 Rejka-Zadar 175 Miles.
After enjoying yesterdays rest day we will now head further South enjoying the coastal drive from Rijeka to Zadar it is a scenic journey along the Adriatic coast, offering breathtaking views and charming stops. The route primarily follows the E65 and E71 highways. Along the way, you can explore picturesque towns like Senj, enjoy the stunning landscapes of Paklenica National Park, and cross the impressive Maslenica Bridge, The drive also offers opportunities to visit islands like Rab andPag, adding to the adventure. We will be stopping for two nights at Hotel A’mare.
Day 9 22/09/2026 Zadar-Free Day 0 Miles.
Today is a well deserved rest day. Allowing us to immerse ourselves in the sites and activities this stunning area has to offer. Here are some of its highlights: Sea Organ: An architectural sound art object that plays music by way of sea waves and tube located underneath a set of large marble steps. Sun Salutation: A solar-powered light installation that creates a stunning light show at night. St. Donatus Church: An early Byzantine church built in the 9th century, known for its unique circular shape. Roman Forum: The largest Roman forum on the eastern side of the Adriatic,established by Emperor Augustus. Zadar Cathedral: A beautiful Romanesque cathedral with a rich history. City Walls and Gates: Explore the well-preserved Venetian city walls and gates. Museum of Ancient Glass: Showcasing Roman glassware and live glass blowing demonstrations. The southwestern quay, perfect for strolling and watching sunsets. Or spend your day on the Beach relaxing, before returning to the Hotel A’mare.
Day 10 23/09/2026 Zadar-Split 100 Miles.
Now we travel down to Split following the Adriatic coast line. Todays drive is around 100 miles given ample opportunity for stop offs ands sight seeing and maybe lunch in a local costal town. Late afternoon we will check into Hotel Batuda for two nights.
Day 11 24/09/2026 Split-Free Day 0 Miles.
Our rest day allows us to soak in the spirit of Split, Croatia’s vibrant port city, boasts a stunning blend of ancient and modern attractions. Visit the UNESCO-listed Diocletian’s Palace, enjoy the bustling Riva promenade, and explore local markets. With beautiful beaches, lively nightlife, and rich history, Split offers a captivating Adriatic experience with many other diverse attractions: explore Diocletian’s Palace, stroll the Riva promenade, visit Marjan Hill for panoramic views, enjoy Bačvice Beach, delve into history at the Split Archaeological Museum, shop at the Green Market, and savor local cuisine at charming eateries. Then a nights rest back @ Hotel Batud
Day 12 25/09/2026 Split-Udine (Italy) 350 Miles.
Departing by 9am after breakfast we now have to start to make our way back towards home and will have to increase the daily mileages to enable us to keep on schedule. The drive from Split to Udine is a scenic journey through Croatia and into Italy, covering approximately 346 miles (557 km) and taking around 5 hours and 28 minutes via the E65 and E71 highways. Along the way, you’ll pass through picturesque landscapes, coastal views, and charming towns. The route offers opportunities to explore the stunning Istrian Peninsula before reaching Udine. Andchecking into our hotel for the evening @ Best Western Continental.
Day 13 26/09/2026 Udine-Salzburg (Austria) 195 Miles.
Depart Udine by 9am you know the drill buy now. The drive from Udine to Salzburg is a scenic journey through the Alps, covering approximately 192 miles (310 km)and taking around 3 hours and 16 minutes via the E55 highway. Along the way, you’ll pass through picturesque landscapes, charming towns, and stunning mountain views. Notable stops include Tolmezzo, Bovec, and arriving at the historic Austrian city of Salzburg stopping @ Motel One Salzburg.
Day 14 27/09/2026 Salzburg-Frankfurt (Germany) 330 Miles.
The drive from Salzburg to Frankfurt is a scenic journey through the heart of Europe, covering approximately 338 miles (544 km) and taking around 5 hours and 20 minutes via the E52 and E45 highways. Along the way, you’ll pass through picturesque landscapes, charming towns, and stunning mountain views. Notable stops include Munich, Nuremberg, and Würzburg, and then arriving at our evenings accommodation @ Best Western Plus.
Day 15 28/09/2026 Frankfurt-Brussels (Belgium) 240 Miles.
Breakfast then depart by 9am. Driving from Frankfurt, Germany to Brussels, Belgium can be quite an enjoyable journey. We will use the scenic routes: You’ll traverse picturesque German countryside, pass through the Rhine Valley, and cross into the vibrant landscapes of Belgium. After a great days driving we will arrive in Brussels, Belgium’s capital, is known for its historic architecture, vibrant art scene, EU headquarters, chocolate, waffles, and diverse culture. Stopping @Hotel Catalonia Brussels.
Day 16 29/09/2026 Brussels-Calais 125 Miles.
You know the drill now, Breakfast then depart by 9am. Today sees us spending our last day together as we drive back to Calais. Traveling back through Dusseldorf a vibrant city on the banks of the Rhine, skirting past Antwerp down past Bruges. Along past the famous beeches of Dunkerque before rolling into Calais to board our return crossing at 16.20. Once back in UK we will depart to make our own separate ways home. What an amazing road trip we will have taken part in. Making new friends and traveling some of the best roads Europe has to offer. A day trip of a lifetime is sure to be one to remember for many years to come. Priced at £2989 per car and driver, and allows for one additional passenger , The trip Includes all hotel accommodation with own twin room including breakfast ( Rooms may be twin beds or a double bed) depending on availability.
