DAY 1: APRIL 22nd 2026 Plymouth
Our road trip of a lifetime starts with us meeting at 1pm on 22nd April at the port of Plymouth to board our ferry to Santander (Spain) which sails at 15.45. This is a 35hr crossing and includes an internal cabin allowing for some quality rest.
DAY 2: April 23rd 2026: Santander-Tordesillas Mileage 170
Arriving at Santander port at 1pm disembark our ferry and regroup before we make our way down the E-80 through Northern Spain passing towards our first nights accommodation. There will be time for refreshment stops along the way. Arriving by early evening at our overnight stop near Tordesillas stopping at Hotel Parador De Tordesillas.
DAY 3: April 24th: Tordesillas-Merida Mileage 230
A full day's riding today as we need to get some mileage under our belts as we start to head towards Africa, travelling as small groups will give us some great photo opportunities along today's route. We will depart at around 8am and continue our journey towards Merida travelling along the E-803
DAY 4. April 25th : Merida-Algeciras-Tetouan Mileage 270
An early start around 8am will see you on the road by 8.30 and on your way down through Spain to our ferry terminal @ Algeciras to board our 3pm ferry over to Africa docking at Tangier Med. The crossing is about 1hr 30 min so hopefully disembark and through security by 5pm. Then a short ride over to our evenings hotel in Tetouan. Stopping @ Hotel A44.
DAY 5. April 26th Tetouan-Fes Miles 160
After your breakfast its time for your first days real riding in Africa traveling along the non toll road down through Morocco on the N13 taking in its views and scenery as we start to head towards the real Morocco and start to see the change from towns to villages as the Mediterranean ambiance fades away behind us. We will arrive in Fes early afternoon check into our accommodation @ Hotel Volubilis. Fez is called Morocco’s “spiritual heart” The rest of the day is yours to spend as you wish.
DAY 6. April 27th: Fes-Rest Day
After some breakfast as a group the day is yours to do as you wish. There will be the option to join a local guide to show us round the Historic Medina which can be like walking round a Labyrinthine with its narrow streets. bustling souks(markets) and of course find a shop to buy your obligatory traditional hat of Morocco The Red Fez(Tommy Cooper). You are welcome to do your own thing after the guided tour, or you are welcome to spend the whole day as you wish. Our hotel accommodation will be @ same hotel as our previous night.
DAY 7. April 28th : Fes-Errachida Mileage 210
After breakfast at the hotel we set of for a day of real adventure traveling south climbing towards the plateau of The Middle Atlas where you can stop for a drink break and a photo opportunity. Then pushing on south west cutting over The High Atlas themselves, before passing through the stunning Gorge de Ziz before finally arriving at our overnight stop @ Ighiz Inn Resort Errachida.
DAY 8. April 29th 2026: Errachida-Ouarzazate Mileage 190
Leaving Errachida we have an epic days riding ahead of us as our journey starts to head West to have some time one desert tracks at Jebel Sahro before setting off to the stunning Todra Gorges (the fault line between the High Atlas Mountains) with its winding mountain roads this is a real must for all ride. From here we shoot over to tackle the snaking passes of Valley Du Dades Later we will be heading to our overnight accommodation in Ouarzazate stopping @ Ibis Ouarzazate Centre
DAY 9. April 30th 2026: Ouarzazate-Casablanca Mileage 270
Leaving Ouarzazate we will head North to enjoy the breath taking mountain passes of Tiki-n-Tichna this high mountain pass with a maximum altitude of 2260 meters. It connects Ouarzazate to Marrakech. The route is known for its dramatic landscapes, and stunning views of rugged mountains, terraced fields. With miles and miles of winding roads, making it both a scenic and challenging ride. Then we will have a few hours ride to the most historic cities of Morocco Casablanca. Famous to many from the film of the same name, this city attracts visitors from all over the world. The city offers a unique blend of Moroccan and French culture. Making it a fascinating place to visit. We will check into our accommodation @ Hotel Club Val d'Anfa about 3 miles from the city center, the the rest of the day is yours to explore and enjoy as you wish.
DAY 10. May 1st 2026: Casablanca Rest Day
Having had an evenings rest today is a full rest day in Casablanca giving you the opportunity to take in some of the amazing thins this ancient city is famous for Visit Hassan II Mosque (guided tours available). Stroll the Corniche for ocean views. Explore the Old Medina (smaller and calmer than Fes or Marrakech). Stop by Rick’s Café, inspired by the classic film.
Relax in Arab League Park, a green escape in the city. Our last evening in Morocco will be spent at the same hotel as yesterday v@ Hotel Club Val d'Anfa
DAY 11. May 2nd: Casablanca-Tangier Med Mileage 235
Once we have had breakfast we will travel north along the coastal road to catch our crossing at Tangiers. This days riding will allow us to see some more of Morocco including Rabat and Assilah. Before catching our ferry to Gibraltar.. After the short crossing we will regroup and travel onwards to our evenings accommodation near Cadiz @ Ibis Jerez De La Frontera Cadiz.
DAY 12. May 3rd: Cadiz-Plasencia Mileage 280
After breakfast we will depart Cadiz and wind our way up the E-803 heading North towards the beautiful and historic town of Plasencia traveling along Spanish roads and stopping along way for a rest and photo opportunity. Before arriving at our hotel @ Exe Alfonso VIII. The town has a renowned cultural scene and various local bars and restaurants.
DAY 13. May 4th: Plasencia-Santander Mileage 300
An early start today will see us departing Salamanca at around 6am as we will need to be in Santander by around 4pm to allow us to catch our 18.15pm boat to Plymouth.. We will have cabins to enable us to get some well earned rest after what will have been an epic adventure and made memories that will last a life time.
DAY 14. May 5th: Home
Our final day see us arrive back in Plymouth at around 15.00pm We will disembark say our goodbyes and then go our separate ways home.
MOTORCYCLE OVERLAND TRIP APRIL 22nd/May 5th 2026
This once in a life time trips is aimed at all levels of riding experience and is ideally aimed at adventure style bikes allowing you to get the most out of this trip, but having said that this trip can be completed on any motorcycle if you feel happy enough in your own abilities. Remember there are some long days riding ahead of you so if you are normally a Sunday rider to a cafe this adventure will be a culture shock and test of your stamina. But you can get to Africa and back in two weeks doing short days and small miles.
There is a support vehicle traveling with us at all times that can carry your luggage etc. from the UK, and then once on the trip we will carry it every day between hotels allowing you to ride with the freedom of not having a fully loaded heavy bike each day.
The cost of this trip is £2489 per bike without a pillion and is based on sharing twin rooms at each booked hotel. If you wish to have your own room or travel with a pillion then the additional cost as £689 please contact us to discuss further.
Hotels are 3/4 star and include breakfast, Web addresses of hotels are included so you can get a feel of the accommodation, most have food available and a bar, but in some these facilities will be nearby in 5/10 minute walk. Please be aware that Moroccan hotels may be basic due to rural locations etc., but for one night stops in remote areas they are the best on offer. And give you real feel of northern Africa
